No Million $ brackets for me not even one for fun. Ok maybe a parlay or two. Who can resist some of the easy money from some very uneven early match-ups? Now, let the madness begin…the madness that is the New York Knicks. Just when it looked as if the Knicks were about to have the worse season imaginable they threw 12 mil times 5 at Phil and he scooped it up, caked up and kicked up (at least for a year), in a word swish!!!!
Now I know people will look at the records and say there have been worse teams than this year’s Knicks. Heck currently there are 9 teams this year alone with worse records lead by Philly, Milwaukee and Orlando but as an organization this was rock bottom.
The Knicks are 13 games under .500 and may not make the playoffs in a weak Eastern Conference. They have traded away a probable lottery pick in a perceived strong draft (insert yawn) and are so far over the cap that if Carmelo does leave they would still be over the cap. What in the name of horrible management? And, then Phil arrives with his 12 million splendor cape and all to save the day. Checkmate Dolan
Mr. Jackson’s hands are tied for the foreseeable future but just having his name and credentials attached to this abused brand is enough to give Knick and basketball fans hope. Hope enough to forget the disaster that is presently the Knicks. He can just go and chill somewhere, maybe Montana at least for a year. The job actually begins the summer of 2015 when the Knicks can be as much as 51 million under the cap. But for now the hope of a brighter future will have to suffice the Knicks and the fan base. Only the future will tell if the Zen Master can make a real culture change in NYC to take the Heat down or if this is just a PR move to turn the heat down.
